NEST: 1000m time
10 yrs +: 500m time
10 yrs and under: 333m time

RACE DAY SCHEDULE – JANUARY 15th
Check-in: 7:00 am – 8:00 am
Warm-ups: 7:30 am – 8:20 am
Ice cut and national Anthem: 8:20 am – 8:40 am
Racing starts: ~ 8:45am
Expected conclusion of racing: ~ 4:00 pm
ELIGIBILITY
Must be a registered speedskater of US Speedskating, Speed Skating Canada or another ISU member country.

* NorthEast Short Track (NEST) Racing: This division is for skaters age 12 years or older as of
July 1, 2021 that can meet the qualifying time. It targets skaters looking for a competitive experience, and aims to promote a strong pipeline of future National, World, and Olympic competitors for US Speedskating. The 1000m qualifying time for males is 1:48.00 and 1:58.00 for females. The time must have been achieved in a sanctioned competition between July 1, 2019 and the meet registration deadline. Competitors must be registered members of US Speedskating, Speed Skating Canada or another ISU member country.
Skaters may be required to display U.S. Speedskating card or certification from US Speedskating Executive Director. At the time of registration, adult skaters, and the parent or legal guardian of each skater will be required to sign off of the Release of Liability and Waiver Agreement. If a skater will not be accompanied at the meet by their parent or legal guardian, the skater must bring to the registration a copy of the Release of Liability and Waiver Agreement signed by their parent or legal guardian.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Face masks/face coverings are required at all times on the competition grounds. Helmet, gloves, long sleeves, knee pads, neck protection and shin guards must be worn by all participants. Eye protection and cut-proof suits are optional, but also recommended.

AWARDS
Awards will be awarded for first, second, and third overall in each group, including first time skaters. Skaters must skate all events to be eligible for group awards. Awards ceremony at the conclusion of event after final results are tallied.

VOLUNTEERS
A volunteer hospitality area is available for all staff volunteers and officials ONLY. Hot and cold beverages, light refreshments in the morning, snacks and beverages throughout the day and a luncheon will be served.
